Use of ‘so’ / ‘because’

'so' 'because'

So and because are commonly used conjunctions in English. They are used for a particular reasons and in a particular situations. So is a coordinating conjunction. It shows the effect/result/purpose. Because is a subordinating conjunction. It shows the cause/reason. Both are used at the middle, to join two different sentences systematically.

It was raining heavily so we didn’t go out.
We didn’t go out because it was raining heavily.

John was ill so he couldn’t attend the meeting.

We have holidays for two weeks so we planed to visit India.
